Day 1

Arrive at Nice international airport, rent a car, and drive short distance along Nice Promenade des Anglais to the Radisson

Day 2

From its cosmopolitan past, Nice, capital of the Côte d’Azur, has preserved this indefinable charm. This city has become a model of tourist excellence with a particular art of living and a single local culture. Enjoy its privileged climate, its legendary sunshine illuminate its Old City, the Promenade des Anglais bordering the Bay of Angels, its rich museums…Walk around the City Centre too and enjoy the cafe atmosphere!

Day 3

Half an hour out of Nice is Eze

This beautiful village perched with a view to the peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferret, offers a remarkably preserved medieval architecture. The alleys lined with vaulted houses with numerous stalls of artists and craftsmen give the village a particular atmosphere of authenticity and traditions

Take lunch then it is an easy but slow and pictureque drive on into Monaco; your hotel is the district of Fontvielle; around the corner of the hotel, underneath the fortress of Monaco, is the port of Fontvielle with many fine restaurants for dinner

Day 4

Monaco is an independent state with the official name of the Principality of Monaco. It is 24 km from Nice, bordering Cap-d’Ail, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Beausoleil.
You will be surprised and amazed at each step, in the heart of the City of Princes. From the Old Town, a real open-air museum, to the Casino Square, unique in the world, discover the history of the Grimaldi.

In your two full days here be sure to include the Old Town, the area around the Monte Carlo Casino, and the beach are beyond  – there Miami Plage is a good seaside restaurant for lunch

Day 6

Drive back to Cannes taking the autoroute around Nice; this drive has its scenery too!

Then visit en route St Paul de Vence

Facing the Mediterranean Sea, backed by the Southern Alps mountains, this medieval village is one of the most beautiful on the Côte d’Azur. This tiny piece of Provence attracts creators and artists. Sensibilities and talents of the most diverse horizons settle  and meet in the many art galleries.

After a relaxing lunch carry on down to Cannes, about one hour

Day 7

Seaside town on the French Riviera, Cannes is famous for its international film festival. La Croisette, an elegant boulevard along the coast, is lined with sandy beaches, famous jewellers, luxurious shops and palaces.

Day 8

Straight autoroute drive to Marseilles; once you enter the city head for Le vieux port where you cannot miss your hotel as it has a commanding view

Day 9

For this day in Marseille, you can :

    • Visit Marseille city with the Colourbus : a hop-on hop-off sightseeing tour of Marseille by touristic bus.
    • Take a Cruise to see the Cassis and Marseille Calanques and more…
    • Make a nice Marseille walking tour – there is much within very close distance to the hotel, the city centre is right there behind the far side of the harbour.

Day 10

This is a short easy drive, once you are out of Marseille! Plenty of time to explore Aix in the afternoon

Aix-en-Provence, birthplace of Paul Cézanne, has retained a certain charm due to a rare architectural unity and Italian influences.

Everything is perfect in the hotel chosen : The room, breakfast, bar, pool, spa and especially its location in the historic centre of Aix en Provence. And besides, it has a parking !

Day 11

Easy day trip to the following places

One hour to Les Baux de Provence Perched on a rocky hill,  it  is ranked among the “most beautiful villages of France”. Its streets flooded with sun, its squares and shaded terraces make it a postcard of Provence.

From there drive on to Avignon with its famous bridge immortalised in song. In Avignon you can visit the Palais des Papes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Europe’s biggest Gothic palace, surrounded by imposing fortifications and defense towers. You can walk on the famous Pont Saint-Bénezet, the remains of a popular medieval bridge that partially crosses the Rhône. Wander the ancient streets and courtyards of this beautiful city.

Finally drive back via Gordes, another beautiful village in Provence

Day 12

Lengthy drive so allow time but take the scenic route along the coast past the famous navy base of Toulon, where Napoleon won his first military engagement, and Hyeres

Take your time driving the coast via Sainte Maxime and Frejus until you approach Theoule sur mer; this hotel is beautifully situated on a cliff
