Rosenhof Country House is situated in Oudtshoorn, en route to the Cango Caves, Ostrich Farm and the Swartberg Pass. The carefully renovated homestead (Circa 1852), with its yellowwood beams and ceilings and a tasteful collection of antique furniture, exudes an aura of authenticity.
The lovely rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name, leads to stylishly decorated bedrooms, each individually furnished. All rooms provide air-conditioning, underfloor heating, Wi-Fi, satellite television (DSTV), telephone, mini bar, digital safe and tea and coffee facilities.
The two Executive Suites each with their own pool, lounge and patio, has tranquil views of the Swartberg Mountain. Rosenhof has a cosy pub and several luxury lounges with fireplaces where visitors can relax and admire works from well-known South African artists. In summer, cool down in the pool or take tea in the manicured gardens. The Wellness Centre offers a fully equipped Gym, Sauna and Spa.

Surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of mountains, Karoo Lodge sits in perfect serenity within Samara Private Game Reserve's 27,000 hectares of pristine wilderness. With nine double rooms of varying sizes, Karoo Lodge caters for individual travellers, couples and families. It can also be booked on an exclusive-use basis for up to 18 guests.
Within the homestead, Karoo Lodge offers a warm and inviting living room with a fireplace as well as a cosy bar area. Antiques, family heirlooms and vintage books permeate the décor throughout. A large dining room with fireplace is used for indoor crystal dinners. When the weather is clement, candlelit dinners are set up on the verandah, on the lawn under the stars, or in the boma, a traditional reed enclosure warmed by a roaring fire. The pool is fenced off from the spacious main lawn and has a covered gazebo area for warm summer evenings.
