Day 1 & 2: Arrival & rugby tournament in Antwerp
You will met at your club/school at lunchtime by one of our representatives and board the coaches going to Antwerp, travelling via Dover and Calais. On arrival at Antwerp you will check-in to a two-star hotel, in the centre of town, for 3 nights on a bed & breakfast basis. Dinner will be enjoyed en-route.
Antwerp is the real urban deal, a refreshingly down-to-earth yet vivacious cosmopolitan habitat blessed with magnificent architecture, fashionable shop fronts, great pubs, dazzling monuments, jazzed-up clubs, inspired artworks and restaurant tables piled with plates of superb Belgian and multicultural food. It also boasts a wealth of outstanding museums, galleries and beautiful architecture.
In the morning you will be transferred to Antwerp RFC, where you will play in a tournament against a couple of local teams. After a meal and prize-giving at the club, you will return to your hotel and have the evening free to explore Antwerp. There is a wide variety of excellent bars, clubs and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Day 3 & 4: Ghent rugby tournament & day trip to Bruges
After breakfast you will be transferred to Ghent RFC, which is less than an hour away, for a game against Ghent RFC. Lunch will be provided at the club and the bar will be open. Alternatively, during Easter, for U16-U18s, there will be a one-day tournament in Ghent with at least 3 games of 40 minutes per team. The top two teams will go into the final and play for the tournament cup. After dinner and a few hours at leisure in Ghent you will return to Antwerp for a night out.
