Spend a long weekend in Newquay playing one or two local clubs, going go-karting, having surfing lessons, touch rugby on the beach & enjoying a night out on the town
Friday & Saturday: Arrival & match against local club
One of our representatives will meet the touring group at your club/school in the early afternoon. You will then board the coaches provided by us and depart for Newquay, where you will stay in Escape Hotel for 3 nights. As you arriving late dinner can be enjoyed at any local restaurant. The Escape Hotel is a new type of Budget Surf Lodge that holds 130 people with modern facilities and friendly staff. The rooms are mostly en-suite and the beds are in a bunk style. The Bar has a late residential licence open most nights until 4am with pool table and a Bose sound system. The hotel is ideal for young people.
After breakfast, you will be able to do some light training on the beach before an afternoon game against a local club. Lunch will be provided by the club. Afterwards, you can either watch a First XV game at the club or return to Newquay to wander around town or to relax in the hotel. The evening can be spent at leisure. There’s a wide range of restaurants in town, as well as countless pubs, bars and clubs.
Sunday & Monday: Rugby match, surfing lessons & touch rugby
After breakfast you will be transferred to another local rugby club for a late-morning match. Lunch will be provided by the club. In the afternoon you will return to Newquay, where you can either play touch on the beach or do some go-karting near town. In the evening you’ll have a tour dinner at a pre-arranged restaurant and have the evening free afterwards to go out in town. Depending on the size and age of the touring group, today’s game can be replaced with a touch rugby tournament to prevent physical strain.
After a lie-in and a late breakfast you can spend Monday morning at leisure or enjoying a surfing lesson near the hotel. If your group did not play a game on Sunday and took surfing lessons, you can arrange a touch rugby tournament on the beach or spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon you will depart Newquay and return home, where we will bid you farewell.
