The rooms are extremely comfortable and overlook the grounds and golf course of the estate, which support wild deer, monkeys and a diversity of birdlife. The hotel even has its own private beach, only a short walk away. Durban is predominantly a subtropical city influenced by the local Zulus and the British who colonised it in 1824.
