Day One: Arrival into Cape Town, free time in the city & private dinner

After your overnight flight from the UK (with only 2 hours time difference), you will be met at Cape Town International airport by your host and transferred the short distance to the 5-star Cape Grace Hotel, where lunch will be served after allowing you to settle in. The afternoon will be spent at leisure, so that you can explore the vibrant Victoria and Albert Waterfront area, which has some lovely shops, bars and is the departure point for tours to Robben Island. The group will meet for pre-dinner drinks on the pool-deck before a private dinner in the Conservatory.

Cape Grace has won countless awards for its unbeatable service, stylish luxury and exquisite restaurant. Having won the Daily Telegraph’s award for ‘The Best Hotel in Africa’ in 2011, you will not be disappointed on arrival. The rooms are extremely comfortable and have been tastefully decorated using local designers and craftsmen. There is also a spa for those wishing to pamper themselves, and a new, state-of-the-art gym.

Day Two: Harley Davidson trip to Cape of Good Hope & dinner at Baia restaurant

After breakfast in the hotel overlooking the private quay, depart on a ‘Super Glide or Low Rider ‘ Harley Davidson for a stunning journey to the Cape of Good Hope . The motorbike journey will take you along the magnificent Atlantic coastline, with spectacular views of the mountains and the sea. On arrival, take the funicular to Cape Point, where lunch will be served at the Black Marlin, once a whaling station, and now a restaurant with an enviable reputation as one of Cape Town’s best seafood eateries. You will return to Cape Town via Boulders Beach, stopping off to see the vast penguin colony there. Dinner will be served on the Terrace of Baia restaurant, with some of The Cape’s best wines to choose from.

Day Three: Wine-tasting in the Cape Winelands & visit to Franschhoek village

After breakfast, you will depart for the Winelands, a beautiful region set amongst rugged mountains and the open plains of the north. Just south of Stellenbosch, you will stop for a tasting session at Meerlust Wine Estate, which produces some of the Cape’s greatest red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir. Then, you will carry on to Franschoek valley and the innovative Le Petit Ferme restaurant, voted one of the Cape’s 10 best, where lunch will be served. There will be time to wander around Franschhoek before your return to Cape Town. In the evening, guests are transferred to dinner at La Colombe, a French inspired restaurant at the wonderful Constantia Uitsig Wine Estate.

Day Four: Tour of Robben Island & return flight

After breakfast, guests will be escorted by a private guide to the Robben Island Museum and enjoy a tour to Robben Island, once the home of Nelson Mandela when he was imprisoned during apartheid and now a World Heritage Site. Enjoy lunch and the afternoon at leisure in Cape Town before your evening flight to London.
