Wander around the bustling cities of Seattle and Vancouver, come within metres of killer whale and dolphin pods and hike in the wilderness on a self-driven trip through the Rocky Mountains
Day 1: The Edgewater, Seattle, Washington, USA
Upon arrival at Seattle Airport, you will travel by Seattle Airporter to your accommodation, The Edgewater, where you will stay for 1 night.
You can spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the city or relaxing and enjoying the luxuries of the hotel.

All the makings of a breathtaking Seattle vacation await you at The Edgewater. Nestled on Seattle’s waterfront at Pier 67, it’s in the heart of downtown Seattle, so you’ll be within walking distance of the city’s main attractions. The rooms are extremely comfortable and each has its own gas fireplace, which, accompanied with the décor, create a very cosy feel to the room. Most of the rooms have spectacular views over Elliott Bay as well.
Seattle lies on an inlet off the Pacific Coast and has numerous attractions worth visiting. Pike Place Market is excellent for wandering around and has stalls selling anything from jewellery to food. The Seattle Centre can keep you occupied for days, with its Four museums, eleven theatres, five gardens, six fountains, more than a dozen restaurants, a skate park and an events arena.
Day 2: Hotel Grand Pacific, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will board the 08.30 ferry to Victoria. On arrival at 11.30, you will check-into The Hotel Grand Pacific, right next to where you disembark, where you will stay for 1 night.
You will be able to enjoy lunch in Victoria and the rest of the day at leisure; however, we would recommend having afternoon tea at The Fairmont Empress, a tradition going back almost a century and an essential part of any visit to Victoria (only available at 15.15 or 16.45). There is a wide array of restaurants in the centre for dinner.

Victoria is the capital of British Columbia and lies at the southern-most point of Vancouver Island. The parliament buildings and myriad of boutiques, museums, galleries and cafes of the historic old town and Antique Row provide good sightseeing and shopping.
Days 3-6: Knight Inlet Lodge, Knight Inlet, BC, Canada
After breakfast you will be transferred to Campbell River by car (3.5 Hours), where you will catch a float plane to Knight Inlet Lodge on Minstrel Island, with spectacular views of the mountains, channels and fjords below. On arrival you will be able to settle in, meet your guide, relax, and set out on a short local trip to view black bears feeding on the beach. In the evening you will return to the lodge and enjoy an excellent dinner and learn a bit about the wildlife in the area.
Over the next few days enjoy a visit to Johnstone Strait, the summering grounds of the orca (killer whale), where you can see large pods of these huge mammals gliding through the water. If you’re lucky, bald eagles, dolphins, seals and humpback whales can be seen. On your final day you will visit the salmon spawning channel, where huge grizzly bears can be seen catching salmon as they leap up river.

All guest rooms in the lodge feature comfortable queen size beds and private bathrooms with showers. The lodge is finished with western cedar board and batten siding to give it an authentic west-coast look and feel. There are 2 outside deck areas, one complete with gas fireplace, for relaxing on those warm summer evenings.
Knight’s Inlet is located in the complete wilderness to the north-east of Vancouver island. As such, wildlife viewing is exceptional here, with an array of large marine mammals and the iconic grizzly bear commonly sighted fishing for salmon.
Day 6 & 7: Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
After breakfast you will depart Banff and drive back to Calgary Airport to drop-off your hire car and to check-in for your flight to Vancouver (alternatively, you can take the luxury ‘Rocky Mountaineer’ train through the Rockies, taking 2 days and 1 night). Upon arrival in the early afternoon you will collect your new hire car at the airport and drive to your accommodation, Renaissance Vancouver.
You will be able to spend the next two days at leisure, sightseeing in the city and relaxing, or enjoying one of the following activities: a walk over the Capilano Suspension bridge, a sea-kayaking trip or a sea safari.

Day 8 & 9: Summit Lodge, Whistler, BC, Canada
After breakfast you will collect your hire car locally and drive on to Whistler, where you will stay at Summit Lodge for 2 nights.
Over the next few days in Whistler, you can enjoy the Skyline Eco-Tour, where you zip-wire through the forest at speeds up to 80km/h, horse-riding, The Nairn Falls Nature Walk or mountain-biking on the ski-slopes, which cater for both beginners and experienced riders.

Day 10: Delta Sun Peaks Resort, Kamloops, BC, Canada
After breakfast, you will be drive to Delta Sun Peaks Resort in Kamloops (6hrs), where you will stay for 1 night.
With breath-taking views on all sides, this European-style village is a gorgeous setting from sunrise to sundown, any time of year. Located in British Columbia’s beautiful and striking Thompson Okanagan region, Sun Peaks has an abundance of activities for everyone all year-round, such as golf, mountain-biking and hiking. It is the largest full-service hotel and family-oriented resort in the area.
Day 11: Mount Robson Inn, Jasper, Alberta, Canada
After breakfast you will drive on to Jasper (5hrs), where you will check-in to Mt Robson Inn for 1 night.
Mount Robson Inn offers everything you would want for a family holiday or romantic getaway. With a backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, it is the ideal place from which to explore the local wildlife and enjoy the abundance of outdoor activities on offer. After a day of adventure, relax in your luxurious room or in one of the hotel’s outdoor hot tubs.
In Jasper we can organise tours to visit the Columbia Icefield, a helicopter flight over the Wilson Glacier or a cruise on the beautiful Maligne Lake.
Day 12 & 13: Fox Hotel, Banff, Alberta, Canada
After breakfast you will drive on to Banff (4hrs), where you will stay at Fox Hotel for 2 nights.
Over the next two days, you can enjoy a gondola ride up the mountain overlooking Banff, a cruise on Lake Minnewanka or a half-day white-water rafting Class III-IV rapids on Kicking Horse River, an exciting day out for beginners and very experienced rafters.

After breakfast, you will depart Banff and drive to your accommodation in Calgary (1.30hrs), Delta Calgary Airport, where you will stay for your final 2 nights.
Spend your time exploring the city, visiting a mall for some last-minute shopping or relaxing by the pool at the hotel.
