Day 1: Delta Calgary Airport, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Upon arrival at Calgary Airport you will collect your hire car and drive to your accommodation next door, Delta Calgary Airport. The rest of the day can be spent sightseeing, visiting Au Claire Market and Calgary Tower.

The hotel is only a short drive away from the centre and provides spacious, luxurious rooms with all the amenities, such as Cable TV and Wi-Fi. There is a large indoor pool and a wide range of restaurants, including a steakhouse. The hotel is connected to the airport by walkway, making your arrival as easy and comfortable as possible.

Situated on the banks of the Bow River, among the rolling foothills of Alberta, Calgary is a great place to relax and do some shopping before heading off on your road trip. Day 2-5: Fox Hotel, Banff, Alberta, Calgary

The morning will be at leisure, allowing you to shop, relax or sight-see. After lunch in town you will drive to Banff (1.30hrs), where you will check-into Fox Hotel.

On your first full day you will be taken on a tour of the Rocky Mountains, Columbia Icefields and Lake Louise. On your final full day you can enjoy a gondola ride up the mountain overlooking Banff, a visit to the hote springs, a cruise on Lake Minnewanka or a half-day white-water rafting Class III-IV rapids on Kicking Horse River, an exciting day out for beginners and very experienced rafters.

Day 5-8: Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

After breakfast you will depart Banff and drive back to Calgary Airport to drop-off your hire car and to check-in for your flight to Vancouver (alternatively, you can take the luxury ‘Rocky Mountaineer’ train through the Rockies, taking 2 days and 1 night). Upon arrival in the early afternoon you will collect your new hire car at the airport and drive to your accommodation, Renaissance Vancouver.

You will be able to spend the next two days at leisure sightseeing in the city and relaxing, or enjoying one of the following activities: a walk over the Capilano Suspension bridge, a sea-kayaking trip or a sea safari.

Day 8 & 9: Ocean Village Resort, Tofino, BC, Canada

After breakfast you will drive to Horse Shoe Bay ferry terminal for your crossing to Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island. You will then continue on to your accommodation, Ocean Village Resort, Tofino, or the more luxurious Fairmount Empress Hotel, Victoria.

Tofino is Canada’s top surfing beach and and there is a wide range of places to rent boards from in and around town. It is also a place of great beauty, with vast, unspoilt beaches and virgin forest all around the resort. There is also a golf course near the resort and excellent hiking trails through the forest.




Day 10 & 11: Telegraph Cove Resort, Telegraph Cove, BC, Canada

In the morning you will drive to Telegraph Cove via Port Alberni, Parksville and Campbell River. Upon arrival you will check-into Telegraph Cove Resort for 2 nights.

After a restful first night you will depart after breakfast into the wilderness at Knight Inlet, where you can see Grizzly Bears in the wild accompanied by experienced guides. In the afternoon you will be taken whale watching, hopefully spotting grey, humpback and killer whales. Afterwards you will return to the resort for dinner.

The lodges are all quaint and cosy, with warm fires and comfy beds. There is a pub and café on the harbour, which both serve typical Canadian food.

Telegraph Cove is a delightful old harbour which will remind you of a Cornish fishing village, with killer whales pass through the Johnston Straits just off shore.




Day 12-15: Summit Lodge and Spa, Whistler, BC, Canada

After breakfast you will depart for Whistler, an extremely scenic drive with a few short ferry rides on the way, giving you excellent views of Vancouver Island.

Over the next few days in Whistler you can enjoy the Skyline Eco-Tour, where you zip-wire through the forest at speeds up to 80km/h, horse-riding, The Nairn Falls Nature Walk or mountain-biking on the ski-slopes, which cater for both beginners and experienced riders. After check-out on your final morning drive down to the airport for your evening departure home.
