69.1

Saturday: Day at Leisure in Cape Town

Upon arrival at Cape Town Airport at 08.50 (with only 1 hours time difference to avoid jet-lag), you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to Lagoon Beach Hotel, where you will be able to spend the day at leisure. Dinner will be enjoyed at the Victoria & Albert Waterfront, where there is a wide selection of excellent restaurants.

Lagoon Beach Hotel has been designed especially for business trip; it has 9 conference venues and is located within walking distance of the city’s central business district. However, it is also an ideal holiday retreat: it is on the beach, has a beach-side bar and pool, a rooftop pool, verdant grounds and well-furbished, luxury rooms. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to V&A Waterfront, where you will be able to do some shopping or catch a ferry to Robben Island.

 

 

69.2

Sunday: Cape Peninsular Tour by Motorbike

After breakfast, you will depart on a full-day Cape Peninsula tour to Cape Point in a Vintage World War 11 750 vcc side-car motorbike. Lunch will be enjoyed at Black Marlin Restaurant, a personal recommendation, and on the way back, you will stop at Boulders Beach to see the Cape penguin colony. The evening will be spent at leisure.

 

 

69.3

Monday and Tuesday: Transfer to Kariega Game Reserve for safari

You will depart the hotel early, in order to board the 09.55 flight (SA 1815) to Port Elizabeth. Upon arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport at 11.05, you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to Kariega Private Homestead in Kariega Game Reserve, where you will spend 2 nights.

Kariega Private Homestead is effectively you own private house for the duration of the stay. It is set in a secluded part of the park, surrounded by wildlife, and has room for up to 10 guests. The rooms are all extremely luxurious; there is a pool and outdoor patio, a lounge, outdoor boma barbeque and a bar. The house comes with two permanent members of staff: a ranger, who will take you on game-drives and walking safaris at your own request, and a host/chef, who will prepare meals and provide drinks for guests. River cruises, canoeing and horse-riding are also available.

 

 

69.4

Wednesday: Return to Cape Town

After a final morning game-drive, you will be transferred from the reserve to Port Elizabeth Airport for your 14.40 flight (SA 1388) to Cape Town, which arrives at 16.00. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to Lagoon Beach Hotel, where you will stay for the rest of the trip, with the rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, dinner will be enjoyed in Camps Bay, where there are many excellent restaurants, bars and clubs.

 

 

69.5

Thursday: Shark-Cage Diving and Wine-Tasting

In the morning, you will be transferred to Hermanus, where you will go shark-cage diving, allowing you to see the Great White Shark up close. Lunch will be enjoyed at the marina afterwards. In the afternoon, you will be taken wine-tasting in Hermanus, so that you can try some of South Africa’s acclaimed red and white wines. In the evening, you will return to Lagoon Beach Hotel for an evening at leisure.

 

 

69.6

Friday: City Tour, Helicopter Flight & Whisky-Tasting

After breakfast, you will depart on a half-day city tour, including Table Mountain, which will culminate in a helicopter flight over the city and the mountain, offering spectacular views of the area. Lunch will be enjoyed in town. After returning to the hotel and a few hourse at leisure, you will be taken whisky-tasting at the Waterfront, with dinner enjoyed afterwards.

 

 

69.7

Saturday: Day at Leisure & Departure

The last day will be spent at leisure, allowing you to chooe your own restaurant for lunch and to shop freely at the waterfront. In the evening, you will depart in time for for your BA 58 flight home, which departs at 20.50, arriving in London Heathrow at 06.45 on Sunday morning.
